Hi I’m Aaron,
I’m a former athlete, varsity coach, and human performance enthusiast. Currently I work as a registered kinesiolgoist with a focus on occupational health. I have an obsession with how we can leverage human performance within the systems that dictate how we live our lives. I recently began pursuing my CRSP designation to learn the building blocks of health and safety theory and programs. I am part of a growing number of health and safety professionals not only want to create safe workplaces, but workplaces that allow people to grow and perform their best.
My passion for human performance and the systems that effect it started in a place you wouldn’t expect. The restaurant. I have worked in restaurants for 15 years while becoming the kinesiologist I am today. I saw the toll that working in harsh conditions can have on the human body and I made it my mission to change that. I launched the Health’s Kitchen Podcast last year to start having an honest and fun conversation about health, safety, and performance in the food service industry.
When I’m not talking into a mic or helping employees perform their best, I can be found hanging in their air as an aerial silks enthusiast. And while this could be seen as a dangerous hobby, I employ strict safety principles to my training to reduce the risk of injury or accident to the greatest degree.
Connect with me on LinkedIn or follow me on Twitter! I would love to learn how health and safety effects your daily life and find ways to improve it!
